Load Balancing refers to distributing network traffic and client requests to the appropriate servers which can efficiently fulfil the requests. If there is too much load on a particular server, traffic is diverted to other servers capable of handling the traffic or new servers are added. This prevents servers from going down and ensures continuous and prompt services.
